Violence consists of possessed dolls killing people or other dolls by various means and with various tools (mostly knives) with extremely bloody and gory results (including a decapitation and disembowelment). A real man and woman prepare to have sex (so that she can get a role in his film), but they're interrupted before that occurs although he tries to get her to perform oral sex on him. Sexually related dialogue (some of it explicit) is present, a woman's bare breasts are seen in a nonsexual context, while a doll flashes her plastic ones to her male doll boyfriend who's masturbating (we see the hand movement with visible results) in order to artificially inseminate a real woman. Profanity consists of at least 15 "f" words, while other expletives and colorful phrases are uttered. CHUCKY is the murderous doll possessed by a serial killer's spirit who enjoys killing and wants his son to be a chip off the old block.

JENNIFER TILLY plays herself, a somewhat ditzy actress who will do anything to land the Virgin Mary part in Redman's film, including sleeping with the director (although they're interrupted before that happens).

WHY THE MPAA RATED IT: R For strong horror violence/gore, sexual content and language. WILL KIDS WANT TO SEE IT? If they're fans of any of the original films, they may, as might horror buffs in general. Yet, as they begin to enact their plan, Chucky begins to have second thoughts as he tries to get his son into the business of killing. Not only does he want to get back into killing, but he also wants to transfer his and Tiffany's spirits into Redman and Jennifer so that they can rid themselves of their doll bodies once and for all. Tiffany thinks that they should give up killing now that they're parents, but Chucky has different plans. Chucky (voice of BRAD DOURIF) and Tiffany (voice of JENNIFER TILLY) are a bit concerned, however, since their anatomically nebulous son isn't sure if he's a boy or girl, although he's positive he's not a killer. where he manages to bring his doll parents back to life. When he sees that Chucky and Tiffany are his parents, he escapes, boards a plane and arrives in L.A.

She has bigger concerns, however, in the form of Glen (voice of BILLY BOYD), a sad little doll who's always wondered about his parents while working as a ventriloquist dummy for a mean man. She thinks she can get the chance when she learns that director Redman (REDMAN) is making a film about the Virgin Mary, and offers to do anything to get the lead role. The two inanimate dolls are now appearing in a Hollywood film about them, "Chucky Goes Psycho," that's starring actress Jennifer Tilly (JENNIFER TILLY) who informs her personal assistant Joan (HANNAH SPEARRITT) that she wants to revamp her career. PLOT: It's been a number of years since several dolls - possessed by the spirits of a mass murderer and the ex-girlfriend he killed - went on a killing spree before meeting their demise. QUICK TAKE: Horror: Two possessed and homicidal dolls must deal with the unexpected discovery that they have a gender-confused, pacifist son as they try to transfer their souls back into human bodies.
